Dancing towards disaster

Warrington Guardian: Michael and Annabell will spend the Christmas period preparing for a competition in January Michael and Annabell will spend the Christmas period preparing for a competition in January

THE Warrington Guardian-sponsored dance couple Annabell Harman and Michael Manning endured a difficult weekend at their latest competition in Cresswell.

Annabell caught a heel on her dress during the couple’s Tango routine, sending the pair and their subsequent ballroom scores tumbling.

Worse still, the fall seemed to have done some damage to Annabell herself, who was suffering neck pain that prevented them from participating in the open Viennese waltz.

Regardless, the pair managed some impressive finishes, claiming second in the under 35s pre-amateur competition, third in the open foxtrot, fourth in the under 21s competition, first place in the under 35s pre-amateur, first place in the open jive and second place in the under 21s.
