EWAN Rodger’s brace secured Rylands’ 3-1 victory against Billinge in Cheshire Football League’s Division One.

Lee Deakin also scored on his debut appearance from the club, while Billinge's consolation came from Graeme Green.

Malpas moved to within four points of Division Two leaders Poynton following a 2-1 win at home against Moore United.

Both sides struggled in the strong winds, though Malpas took the lead through Alex Hughes before Moore were able to gain control of the game.
