WARRINGTON Campus men’s football third team cruised to the top of the table as they thrashed UCFB Burnley 12-0, writes Ashley Thornton-Jones.

Dan Broome led the way with six goals for the Padgate side, who maintain their 100 percent start to the season.

Ellis Wood and Theo Logan both added two, with one each from Yiotis Alamanos and Matty Moore inflicting further damage in Lancashire.

Elsewhere, the second team kept the heat on league leaders Salford with a 4-3 victory at Keele.

The men’s hockey team beat Bolton 4-1 to replace them as league leaders, but the women’s side were thrashed 5-1 by Liverpool.
