WARRINGTON men’s hockey team beat Golborne 9-2 to continue their push for promotion in the North West Men’s Hockey League.
The men’s seconds lost out 2-1 in a thriller with title challengers Mossley, Silas Heys scoring.
Warrington women fell 4-3 at home to Oswestry in an exciting game.
Steph Rawlins equalised after Warrington went behind early on, then Louise Sullivan put them ahead with a great strike.
Oswestry scored the next three goals, despite heroic defending from Holly McCurrie and Vicks Pollard, meaning player-of-the-match Rawlins’ late strike was not enough.
Warrington women’s seconds lost 5-0 to Lymm. Kirsty Anderson made some great stops in goal.
