GESM A cut Newton Social B’s lead down to a single point in the Warrington Snooker League Division One courtesy of a 6-1 hammering of Rylands A.

GTBL A moved clear of the relegation places after a 4-3 win at Woolston A, with Dave Newton’s 40 break not enough to beat Dean Little, who responded with his own break of 47.

Culcheth Sports B took advantage of GESM C’s inactivity to open up a four-point lead in Division Two after winning 5-2 at St Benedicts.

Walkers B kept up their impressive season winning 4-3 at Rylands B to stay third, with Bridgewater Club on the same points after beating Deaf Social A 7-0 helped by Paul Nesbitt’s 37 break.
