LYMM Ladies hockey team are flying.
They maintained the leaders’ position in Cheshire Hockey League Division One thanks to a 5-0 home win against an experienced Oxton team on Saturday.
Captain Lisa Hartley-Woodrow contributed two goals, with two more coming from midfielder Alex Pepper and a fifth was netted by Grace Boardman.
Rachael Broadhurst was awarded player of the game.
Then on Sunday Lymm defeated higher-division high riders Alderley Edge 2-0 to reach the semi finals of the Cheshire Cup.
An early breakthrough came when the forwards combined to send a square ball across goal for striker Natalie Riley to dispatch with ease.
Lymm's workrate was excellent and their harrying paid off halfway through the second half when Riley finished off her second goal after cood work from Boardman, Hartley-Woodrow and Meg Mousdale.
