Visitors pitched into big trouble

MOORE were unable to follow up their first-week win in the South Lancashire/North Cheshire Division Two, falling to defeat at Ormskirk.
The hosts played the big pitch to their advantage, using their kicking game to pin Moore back and open up an 18-3 half-time lead courtesy of two tries and a few penalties.
Moore’s solitary penalty was all they managed all game, as an improved second half performance led to only one more try from the hosts.

THE second team were able to welcome back several players and reaped the rewards in Division Four South, hammering visitors Crewe and Nantwich in convincing fashion.
They were quickly off the mark thanks to the returning Ben Lester’s brace of converted tries, with brother Adam adding one more before the break to make it 21-5.
The hosts’ pressure continued after the break, with further tries from Adam Lester and Cunningham, two, sealing the result.
