St Oswalds maintain their leadership spot

ST Oswalds A hold a narrow two-point lead at the top of Warrington and North Cheshire Bowls Associsation’s Friday League Section A following an 11-4 victory at Tetley A.
Charlie Bebbington and Jason Lockett both won 21-4 as Oswalds attempted to maintain their lead over second-placed King and Queen A, who defeated Golborne CMC 11-4. Wins from Peter Rowles, 21-7, and Adam Lea, 21-10, helped Grange B score a 13-2 success at Rylands A, while Alford A’s 9-6 win over Eagle A included wins from Liam Lawlor, 21-7, and Dave Smith, 21-11.
Grange A defeated King and Queen B 13-2.
Section D leaders Viaduct defeated St Albans 12-2 thanks to winning cards from Arthur Critchley, 21-4, and George Marsh, 21-7.
Second-placed Orford WM A scored a 9-6 victory at Richmonds B, while Ken McKean and Jim McNicholas’ 21-7 cards helped Tetley C to an 11-3 success over Bulls Head B.
Brooklands scored a 9-6 win at Culcheth Sports, with Brian Sutcliffe and Gary Burke sharing the sweep 21-9.
Rylands B joined Eagle B at the top of Section E after defeating Monk sports B 10-5, as Eagle B suffered a narrow 8-7 loss at Red Lion.
Penketh Tavern defeated Grange C 10-5 and Stag B enjoyed a 10-4 victory over Croft.
