Neighbours race at Oulton Park

STRETTON neighbours Richard Roundell and Mike Nash enjoyed friendly rivalry on track at Oulton Park in the CNC Heads Sports Saloon Championship at the weekend.
Nash, in only his third race, continued to fine tune his Class F Peugeot 106 ahead of joining the series full time next year.
After qualifying second, he gained four places overall on the opening lap before taking the class lead on the next circuit.
However an engine misfire left him trailing category victor Graham Saul’s Ford Fiesta XR2 at the flag, finishing just outside the top 15.
Roundell, Class E leader behind the wheel of his Vauxhall Vectra, was sixth fastest in qualifying.
He made up four places by the end of lap one, only to spin shortly afterwards before classifying fifth in category by the end of the race.
