FOUR amateur kickboxers will represent Warrington’s Corunna Fight Academy in English title fights this weekend.
Super cruiserweight Mark Tunstall, aged 27, cruiserweight Jon Tunstall, aged 30, light heavyweight Billy Musa, aged 34, and middleweight Ste Robertson, aged 30, have only been fighting since late 2012 but all are unbeaten in three fights, impressing enough to be awarded belt shots at Audenshaw Masonic Hall in Manchester on Saturday.
The dedicated quartet all have showdowns against much more experienced opponents who class themselves as semi professionals.
Corunna Fight Academy is run by Dave Hamilton and is based at Hook and Jab gym at Bridge Foot.
The kickboxers embrace the ‘Corunna System’, a mix of Muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, kung fu and boxing.
Dave Dagnall, an ABA qualified coach at Hook and Jab, has done extensive boxing training with the four in preparation for the contests.
