LYMM-based club Gen’Dai Martial Arts spent a productive weekend of training at Shotokan Karate-Do Seeheim near Frankfurt.
The 30-strong party, containing many juniors, travelled on the club’s traditional meeting with their German counterparts, which was established to help pupils share karate skills/techniques and experience a different culture.
Fifth-dan instructors Dave Shipton and Karl-Heinz Griebenow led the training sessions and participants focused on different ways to train to maximise speed and power as well as advanced fighting techniques.
The committee of Gen’Dai Martial Arts would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make the weekend a success, in particular Lymm Lions, Lymm Parish Council, Lymm Rotary Club and Partington Youth Partnership Fund all supported Gen’Dai Martial Arts’ trip.
Call Dave Shipton on 07771 845779 for details of classes.
