Pennington earns England call-up
FORMER St Gregorys pupil Matthew Pennington has been selected for England's under 19s squad for the friendly fixture against Turkey on Thursday, at Telford United.
Pennington is part of the Everton under 18s side that has charged into the last eight of the FA Youth Cup and he hopes to figure against Norwich City at Goodison Park on Friday, April 5.
Last week, Pennington’s Everton came up against another former Warrington schoolboy, Manchester United’s Jack Rudge, who scored the Reds’ goal in the 1-1 draw.
