CHESHIRE Martial Arts Centre were awarded the Dave Warburton Memorial Trophy as best team in the SKA National Kata Open Championships staged at Birchwood Tennis and Leisure Centre on Sunday.

Among the proud achievers was 41-year-old John Reynolds, who collected second place in his kata (patterned moves) category in what was his first tournament.
