LYMM moved closer to the Cheshire League Division One title with Saturday’s big win.
Hollie Acklam broke the deadlock from a tight angle and key saves from Amy Heywood as well as important interceptions from player-of-the-match Alex Mitchell, Jo Hartley, Sarah Gardner and Caitlin Anderson preserved the lead until half time.
When Jayne Buck smashed the ball home early in the second half Northop's resistance seemed to be broken.
More goals quickly followed from Buck, two, Lisa Hartley-Woodrow and Nat Riley.
