Campus team are relegated
A LATE goal condemned Warrington Campus women’s football team to relegation as they lost 1-0 at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The visitors had two goals disallowed and dominated the game, but the hosts struck late to secure survival at their opponents’ expense.
Meanwhile, the men’s football second team moved up to fourth with a 3-1 win at the University of Bolton.
Tom Davies opened the scoring from distance before goals from Josh Archer and Ben Williams sealed the points in Lancashire.
They travel to Keele University for their final fixture of the season next week.
