Eighteen schools contest Cinnamon Brow cross country race

WARRINGTON schoolchildren were running hot in the cold weather this week.

Eighteen schools were represented in Cinnamon Brow CE Primary’s cross country race.

Sam Evans, of Broomfields, equalled the course record that he set last year when he won the boys’ race in 7mins 1sec.

There was additional celebrations for Broomfields as they also won the boys’ team trophy and the prize for overall school.

The girls' race was won by Lucia Meloni, of St Thomas', in 8mins 3secs, while Ravenbank won the girls' team trophy.
