Warrington earned bragging rights in this local derby but unfortunately any victory celebrations were totally muted as the game was abandoned after 63 minutes because of a serious injury to a Moore player.
Warrington’s early points came from two penalties from the trusty boot of skipper Shaun McDermott, before Moore replied with a powerful forwards try which was converted to give the home side a 7-6 lead.
Warrington regained the lead when pacy second row Jonathan Hughes strode over from thirty yards but the game ended shortly afterwards with the serious injury.
