Five for Lymm

Bowdon Ladies 4th 1
Lymm Ladies 5

LYMM maintained their five-point lead at the Cheshire Women’s League summit with a comfortable victory at Bowdon.

A bright start from both sides kept the score tight until 20 minutes, when the visitors’ attacking quality opened up the hosts for Lisa Hartley-Woodrow to score.

Hollie Acklam slotted the ball past the keeper on the reverse side to double their lead and, though sloppy play allowed Bowdon back into the game after a counter attack, Lymm never looked in danger.

Nat Riley set up an easy strike for Megan Mousdale before Hartley-Woodrow added a second and star turn Riley capped a fine display with a reverse stick hit to complete the scoring.
