Sam strikes gold

JUNIOR international Sam Dykes recorded a national victory at the British University and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Indoor Championships at the weekend.

Making his competitive debut for Loughborough University, the 19-year-old Warrington Athletics Club runner won both his heat and semi final in the 800m before winning a sprint finish in the final.

He adds his latest gold medal to the national outdoor schools’ title won in 2008.
