Warrington 5
Carlisle 2nd 2
WARRINGTON men’s first team extended their unbeaten streak to six games against Carlisle’s seconds.
Warrington found the first goal after a bright start, captain Noal Phillpotts reacting fastest to knock in a rebound off the keeper’s pads.
A second goal was added by Tim Rothwell and was quickly followed by a third from Steve Worrall.
A penalty corner helped the away side grab a goal back, but Worrall restored their three-goal advantage from a tight angle.
The scoring calmed only slightly in the second half, as top scorer Ben Vickers found the net and Carlisle scored a consolation in the dying minutes.
