Aramayo blitzes Tyne champion

First published in Sport

PHOENIX Fire ABC youngster Jamie Aramayo has progressed to the quarter final of the National Schoolboys’ Boxing Championship after a convincing victory against the Tyne, Tees and Wear champion.

Aramayo, aged 14, won the three-round bout on all five of the judges scorecards after a relentless and powerful barrage of punches against the hapless Tyne champion, who was unable to cope with the onslaught. Aramayo will now go on to fight the Midlands Schoolboy champion at the Everton Park Sports Centre on Sunday.
