WARRINGTON Athletics Club’s regional champion, Harriet Knowles-Jones, continued her winning streak at the weekend.
She won the inter girls’ title in 14mins 50secs for Trafford at the Greater Manchester Schools’ Cross Country Championships.
Meanwhile Warrington schools’ junior girls and inter boys won the team prizes at the Cheshire Schools’ Cross Country Championships in Nantwich.
Four runners finished in the top 10 in each of those races with Melissa Boyer, third, followed in by Victoria Ramsbottom, Sarah McGrail and Lauren Ferris in the junior girls’ event.
The inter boys’ top four were Daniel Evans, who finished second, Liam Burthem, Leighton Sharman and Daniel Richardson.
Best of the rest were Cameron Field, placed third in the senior boys’ race, a feat Elizabeth Smith matched in the inter girls’ class.
