Regional call-up for polo players

Warrington pair Jacob Wass, left, and Tom Costello were part of the North West Ravens team to star in a regional competition at the weekend.
GREAT Sankey water polo players Jacob Wass and Tom Costello have come a long way in a short space of time.
After less than 18 months playing the sport with Warrington water polo team, they reached the final of the ASA Inter Region Division Two competition at the weekend while representing North West Ravens.
The 14-year-olds both scored goals en route to a 10-3 defeat in the concluding showdown at Liverpool Aquatic Centre against a London team packed with Great Britain internationals. Warrington’s Connie Gregson takes part in the girls’ competition at Walsall in a fortnight.
