Doubles winners set for county game

DARRYL Ellis and Drew Wheeldon are celebrating victory in the Warrington Independent Pool League's doubles tournament.
The Hawthorne pair beat the Lord Rodney's James McKay and James Beaton 7-4 in this season's final, though the quartet will soon meet again when they join forces to represent Cheshire against Flintshire at the 147 Club.
The fixture is the last county match of the season and a win is needed in order for Cheshire to qualify for the four-day National County Championship Finals in Selsey, West Sussex in March, when England's top 16 county teams battle it out for the coveted trophy.
