Bowls clubs set to hold meetings

BOWLS meeting dates for clubs across the town have been announced.

Stockton Heath Bowls Club’s annual meeting tomorrow, Friday, will be critical in determining team formations for the new season.

The event takes place at St Johns United Reformed Church Hall, Wilderspool Causeway, at 2pm.

New players and social members are welcome. Call secretary Alan Prescott on 264069 for further details.

Registrations will be taken when Orford War Memorial Bowls Club stage their annual meeting on Sunday at 1pm.

New members are always welcome and further details can be obtained from Ken Leigh on 656282.

Victoria Park senior section’s annual meeting takes place on Monday. Bowlers should gather at the Victoria Park Arena by 1.30pm.

Additional players aged over 60 are needed for both the A and B teams. Further information is available from Albert Roberts on 852336.

Grange Sports Club’s seniors section’s annual meeting is set for Tuesday at 2pm. This will also be the opportunity to register with the section for the season ahead.

The men’s section of Rylands Bowls Club will meet at the Gorsey Lane Club for their annual meeting on Friday, January 18, at 7.45pm.

Red Lion Bowls Club men’s section stage their annual meeting on Sunday, January 20, in the upstairs room at the Red Lion, Stockton Heath, at 7.15pm.

Penketh Tavern St Josephs stage their annual meet on Tuesday, January 22, at 8.30pm. Any existing members or potential new bowlers should attend.

All sections of St Albans Bowls Club will come together for their annual meeting at the British Rail Club on Tuesday, January 22, at 7.30pm.
