WARRINGTON Sport For All Centre are offering people the chance to kick-start their new year’s resolutions without having to slave away in the gym.
If you want to fight the festive flab in a fun way, England Basketball’s ‘Ball Again’ initiative is aimed at helping adults – be they complete novices or experienced players who need a little practice – get on to the court and work off the Christmas pudding.
Basketball development officer Cath Jones said: “While we already offer opportunities for children and teenagers to learn how to play, the ‘Ball Again’ sessions are aimed specifically at adults.
“There are currently players in our mixed and men’s basketball leagues over 50 years of age, so you are never too old to try a new sport out.”
Experienced coaches will host seperate sessions for men (Tuesdays from 8.20pm) and women (Saturdays from 4pm) which last about an hour. ‘Ball Again’ sessions start from this Saturday at The Sport for All Centre on the site of Sir Thomas Boteler High School in Latchford.
