A BREAK of 40 for Richmond A’s Brian Hall could not prevent his side’s unbeaten run from coming to an end against GESM A in Division One of the Warrington Snooker League.
Richmond still lead by eight points.
Breaks for James Short, 64, and Warren McDougall, 41, could not stop Irlam Cons from falling to a 4-3 loss to Monks A, while GTBL A lost by the same margin to Roosters C despite breaks of 61 and 31 by Chris Beatty and Paul Dean.
Rylands A are the new leaders in Division Two.
This is thanks to their 5-2 victory over Deaf Social A, meaning they open a two-point gap over deposed leaders GESM B, who lost 5-2 at Richmonds B.
They are level with Walkers A, 5-2 winners at Rylands B, while Alford B eased their relegation worries with a 5-2 win over Woolston C, helped by Andy Boardman’s 35 break.
Division Three looks like a one-horse race with St Benedicts 12 points clear after they beat Kings Club C 5-2.
Penketh Tavern B closed to within one point of Woolston B in third after they won the ‘derby’ at Penketh Cons 4-3.
