ST BENEDICTS' 7-0 hammering of Kings Club A in Division Three of the Warrington Snooker League allows them to open a small gap over Woolston B, who lost 4-3 at home to Roosters D.

Surprise team Culcheth Sports A are third after winning again, this time 5-2 at Penketh Cons A.

Richmonds A still lead Division One after winning 5-2 at Culcheth Sports B, maintaining their four-point advantage over Irlam Cons, who beat Alford A 5-2 with Paul Oliver making a 38 break and Paul Mitchell a 36 for the winners.

Paul Dean enjoyed a 44 break and Stuart Garnett a 42 break for GTBL A as they won 5-2 at Alford D, with Steve Osborne's break of 41 for Alford not enough to save them.

GESM B remain unbeaten and are top of Division Two after an excellent 6-1 win at local rivals GTBL B.

Walkers A are level on points at the top having played one game more, but kept up the pressure when winning 4-3 at Alford B.

The real story in this division is the rise of Bridgewater Club, who have gone from bottom without a win to halfway up the table after three wins on the bounce, the latest being a 7-0 whitewash of St Josephs.
