WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed that they will not be offering a contract extension to Lee Mitchell for 2013.
The back rower's year-long loan for 2012 finishes with Castleford Tigers on November 30, at which point his contract with Wolves also ends and he will become a free agent.
It is understood that Mitchell, a product of Wolves' academy system, has plans to play in Brisbane, Australia, for a year to further his development.
A club statement said: "All at Warrington Wolves would like to thank Lee for his service to the club and wish him well for the future."
Mitchell scored four tries in 37 appearances for Wolves between 2007 and 2011.
He also spent time on loan with Harlequins RL (now London Broncos) and on dual registration in the Championship with Leigh Centurions.
