AN exciting development for young volleyball players comes to fruition on Sunday.
The junior Warrington Wolves Volleyball Club will be launched at the Orford Jubilee Hub by Team GB star Maria Bertelli and mascot Wolfie at 4.30pm, with an open invite to all who are interested.
Stuart Johnson, head of development for Volleyball England, said: “This partnership between Volleyball England, Warrington School Sport Partnership, Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation and Bridgewater Diamonds Volleyball Club is an example of how raising the profile of a sport like volleyball can create a demand for new opportunities among young people.
“The club provides an exit route for all young people in Warrington who have played volleyball in schools over the past three years.
“By playing competitive matches, we will hopefully discover the Olympians of the future in a safe, friendly and fun environment.”
