Duo is fastest

WARRINGTON Athletics Club runners did a double in the opening round of the prestigious UK Athletics McCain Cross Challenge at the weekend.

Daniel Evans and Harriet Knowles-Jones were winners in the under 15s boys and girls’ races respectively at Bristol’s Ashton Court, both completing a 3.5km course faster than rivals from across the country.

Clubmate Sam Evans, aged 10, was runner-up too in the under 11s boys’ class.
