Hall’s big break helps Richmonds

RICHMONDS A are the new leaders in Warrington Snooker League Division One.

They won 5-2 at Grappenhall Ex-Servicemen Club, where Brian Hall cued a break worth 57 points for the victors. The hosts’ James Frith almost matched him, amassing 55 points from a single visit.

Dean Little racked up the highest break of the night with 64 in Alford A’s win at Culcheth Sports B.

Irlam Catholic A dropped to second after losing 6-1 to Irlam Cons, James Short contributing two 30-plus breaks for the winners.

Rylands A continue to lead Division Two after a hard-fought win against Alford B.

Walkers A jumped to second spot in the same section after winning at Monks C.

Woolston B won the game of the night in Division Three, inflicting a first defeat of the season on St Benedicts by the odd frame.

On the same points in second spot are Kings Club A.

Culcheth Sports A remain unbeaten after they won at Eagle.
