WARRINGTON Gymnastics Club members returned from the Cheshire and Merseyside Gymnastics competition with an unprecedented 84 medals and eight county champions.

In the pre-novice nine-year’s category Paige Cridland was named county champion, while teammate Mollie Benson grabbed four medals to claim second.

Madison Bailey-Moyes and newcomer Saskia Fishwick also took individual medals and were placed third and fourth respectively.

In the pre-novice 10-years Freya Atkinson marked the start of her Warrington career with a bronze and silver on floor and bars.

In the 12 and 14-year-old sections Charlie Hall earned bronze on bar and Catriona Harrison got gold on bars and silver on vault.

In the novice under 10s section Demiah Corridon was crowned champion after winning a gold and three silver medals and Emilia Povall-Clarke was second overall with two gold and a bronze.

In the novice 14-year’s section Ebony Gumbs was crowned county champion, while Leonie McCormick took gold and silver on vault and bars.

In the level four junior section Jess Adamson was county champion, taking three individual silver and a gold on bars.

Rosie Roberts took gold on beam and bronze on bars.

The level three section saw Chelsea Mealey take three gold and a bronze to be crowned county champion, teammate Jasmine Thompson grab second place and Megan Walley take gold on beam.

In the Mod Fig section Carley Briggs was champion, Taylor Baker was second and Bethan Swann third In the Fig competition Lucy Costello was champion and Kara Heaton was placed second after earning two gold and two silver.
