Richardson loses out on first place

MARTIN Richardson narrowly missed out on first place in the historic Sports Car Club Guards Championship for historic sports cars built prior to the end of 1965.
Racing his 1965 MGB roadster, Richardson entered the final race knowing that a win would be enough to secure him first place on the podium.
A fine qualifying session put him in pole position on the grid, but the wet weather saw him slip down to second, meaning that he still finished an impressive second place in the Championship overall.
