Regarding the letter from Marks, Jordan and Dodds.
I continue to be amazed at the double standards that operate within the Lib Dem leadership in Warrington.
This letter regarding the primary school in Stockton Heath strongly indicates that the decision has been supported on scant information.
To my knowledge, none of the options have been thoroughly worked beyond feasibility.
Added to this is the fact that the Lib Dem group continues to ignore the wishes of a significant number of people in Stockton Heath on this matter.
How, then, does this approach fit with statements made in the press by Ian Marks this week about improving consultation, gathering better information and listening to what people in Warrington want?
Perhaps this is not double standards, but double speak. One could read a hidden message in all this - perhaps when he says Warrington, he means Warrington and not Stockton Heath.
I would caution against improving consultation as opposed to little consultation especially when the intended result will be the same!
