A 10-YEAR-OLD girl who wanted to help Ethan Connolly on his journey organised a fun day that raised more than £1,800 for the three-year-old.
Danielle Roberts and her dad, Barry, who works at the Crown and Cushion in Penketh, organised a raffle, bouncy castle and auction at the pub on Saturday, September 16.
The auction included Wolves and Wigan memorabilia and two first class Virgin train tickets to anywhere, from anywhere, said Barry.
"Ethan and his mum Karen were there which really helped the cause," he said.
"We didn't think we'd get anywhere near as much as we did, but then everyone just pulled together," he said.
Ethan suffers from a lymphatic malformation and needs operations on cysts around his jaw, airways and eye.
The operations must be done abroad and are not funded by the NHS.
