A TREE-PLANTING scheme has taken root in Glazebury.
The last of more than 1,000 saplings have been planted on land near Windy Banks Woods.
The Mersey Community Forest and Bents garden centre have now completed the project and hope the five additional acres of indigenous trees will provide food and shelter for wildlife.
Bents, which has committed to creating new woodland as part of its 10-year vision, says the project was only one of the ways it hopes to be a green' business.
