HELEN Southworth, MP for Warrington South, visited Penketh High School to show her support for an international campaign to ensure all children have access to an education.

Pupils decorated special missing out' action cards to be displayed at the school which will then be forwarded to Gordon Brown to take with him to the G8 summit in Japan where the global campaign for education will be discussed.

This follows a promise made in 2000 by world leaders that every child would get a free primary school education by 2015 but there are still 72 million children who are missing out on an education.

MPs are being asked to decorate cards and pledge their support to the Send my Friend to School' campaign as a reminder to these leaders of their promise.
