A FORMER timber yard could be the latest plot in Latchford to be transformed into waterside apartments.

Developers want to build 93 apartments and 30 homes on the site of the former Beers Timber and Building Company Yard, on Station Road.

The plans would see three and four-storey apartment blocks being built on the stretch of land that lines the Manchester Ship Canal.

The site already has an outline application granted for up to 120 houses and flats, which was granted in 2004.
