GET out into the fresh air this Bank Holiday Monday and join the Black Bear Park rangers for their Appleton Amble.

The six-and-a-half mile trek will explore the lush greenery of the woodlands of Lumb Brook Valley and Pewterspear, leading to the vantage point of Hillcliffe.

Those taking part are advised to bring along a packed lunch and wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

The walk will start at 11am and should finish at 2.30pm and anyone wanting to take part should meet at Black Bear Ranger Cabin, off Loushers Lane.
