PUPILS have branched out by helping birds left out in the cold by the recent bad weather to find food in freezing conditions.
The children from Padgate’s Christ Church CE Primary School set up on-site tables and feeders for birds who have been struggling to find food.
The equipment was donated by Fearnhead company ‘Stealth Wildlife’. And as the weather improves the students have been logging which species of feathered friends turn up for a daily feed.
Head teacher Ian Williams said: “The donation supports our teaching on the environment and encourages children to think about the problems that snow can bring and not just the fun side of things.”
