THE Burtonwood group of the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline is searching for one more host family to look after a child, aged 11 to 12, during their annual visit.

The group will visit Warrington for four weeks from July 12 to August 9 as part of a project set up by the CCL in 1992 following Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986.

The work of the Burtonwood group is focused on raising funds to bring Belarusian children to the host families in the community for four weeks each summer.

This helps to provide the youngsters with fresh air and uncontaminated food as well as dental and eye check-ups.
