YOUNGSTERS from a Latchford school got their running gear on to help a good cause.

Pupils at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School took part in the Adam and Eve Run to raise money for The Eve Appeal which funds research into gynaecological cancers.

The race was organised jointly between the school and British School of Coaching, whose owner Judith Barton was diagnosed with cancer in 2013.

The appeal has raised £1,100 so far with more expected when the new term starts next week.

Judith Barton, director of British School of Coaching said: “Thank you so much to everyone who took part and kindly donated towards our challenge.”

Jean Hensey-Reynard, head of religious studies at Sir Thomas Boteler added: "As a Christian school we encourage all our pupils to live up to our motto - our school cares.

“This year we encouraged pupils to do this fun run to raise awareness and funds for the Eve Appeal as many of us will have been affected by this disease at some point.”
