Second exit for Asda Westbrook

SHOPPERS at Asda Westbrook will soon have a second exit to ease traffic congestion for residents on Westbrook Crescent.

Clrs Keith Gleave and Kevin Reynolds revealed the good news after months of leafleting homes and meeting with the supermarket and council.

An application to widen the entrance by the petrol station was initially submitted but after taking into consideration that residents have been blighted with traffic problems for several years, Clr Gleave’s idea was viewed as a much better option with cars leaving the car park on to Cromwell Avenue.

He said: “This will take away some pressure from Westbrook Crescent.

“I gave my word that I would keep residents informed and this exit will also benefit Callands and other parts of the borough.”
