Sculpture could be dream come true

A NEW sculpture could be set to grace a woodland in Grappenhall.

As reported in last week’s Warrington Guardian, vandals struck in Grappenhall Woods last month, destroying a carved sculpture that was housed in one of the glens.

The Wizard, Guardian of the Woods had lots of wild animals, birds and bugs carved into the cloak and the figure and was burned and then chopped down by vandals.

Now, company Dreamscapes has agreed to create a new piece of art for the wood.

It is currently speaking to The Woodland Trust and watch this space for further news.
