Memorial service

A MEMORIAL service for a former Rector of St Wilfrid’s Church in Grappenhall will be held later this month.

The Rev Fred Lapham (who was rector between 1982 and 1991) died peacefully at home on December 21, following a long illness.

A private family service for the 83-year-old was held at Shrewsbury Crematorium on January 7.

A service will be held at St Wilfrid’s Church on January 30 at 12pm.

This will be followed by the internment of ashes in the churchyard.
