PUPILS at St Wilfrid’s Primary School in Grappenhall got to set up their own radio station.
Thanks to a link with the Warrington Amateur Radio Club, based at Grapppenhall Community Centre, a radio station was set up in school during science week.
It allowed the pupils to learn more about amateur radio.
This year proved exciting as South African exchange teacher Shipo Mzangwe, who came to St Wilfrid’s was also keen on amateur radio.
And on his visit to Grappenhall, he joined one of the Tuesday night meetings at Bellhouse Lane Community Centre.
