DRINKERS at Appleton Thorn Village Hall have been raising a glass to toast the club’s success.
The venue won the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra) North Cheshire Branch’s club of the year for 2012.
It is not the first time the club has tasted success after winning the national title in 2009.
Ian Garner, regional director for Camra, was on hand to present the award for regional club of the year for 2011 at a special celebration.
The club is located in the old school at Appleton Thorn. It is a private members club with subscription open to everyone and operates as a pub on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. It is also open from 1pm until 10.30pm on Sundays.
