YEAR six pupils at St Thomas' CE Primary School in Stockton Heath brought the house down with a memorable performance.

The children at the school, on Parkgate Road, showcased their production of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies by Craig Hawes to an audience packed with family, friends and staff last Tuesday and Wednesday.

Head teacher Ian Moss said the enthralling tale featuring tights, fights and footlights was 'first class' and 'had the audience rolling in the aisles'.

Proceeds from raffles on both nights went to the River Reeves Foundation – the Viola Beach star was a former pupil of the school.

Youngsters have also been doing all they can to raise money for St Rocco's Hospice, which supports those living with life-limiting illnesses.

Charity champions from year six held a sponsored after-school car wash and raised £16.

But for year two pupils it was time to hit the high notes after they attended Cobbs Infant School in Appleton, on Wood Lane, to take part in a music festival.

They presented a selection of their favourite songs following rehearsals and the hard work certainly paid off, with the school praising the youngsters for the performance.
