Singing sensation

A FORMER X Factor star pleased a crowd of fans at an exclusive Stockton Heath wine bar on April 30.

Max Vickers, who also lives in Stockton Heath, performed at DWL, which also accommodates a health spa.

The 23-year-old shot to fame in 2011 when he fell just short of the live shows on the talent programme after making it to the judges' house stage.

But after being turned away by Gary Barlow, Max has remained determined and continues to perform.

The 23-year-old is also working with leading online broadcaster SBTV.

Parish council plea

STOCKTON Heath Parish Council is urging residents to attend its meetings in order to put their views forward.

The council meets on the second Tuesday of every month at Sandy Lane Centre.

Cllr Helen Dutton, who stepped down as chairman at Tuesday’s meeting, is hopeful more members of the community will begin attending.

"The amount of people who turn up does vary, depending on the issues on the agenda," she said.

"We want residents to come so that they can tell us what they want."

Meetings commence at 7.30pm. For further information e-mail clerk@stocktonheathpc.org.uk.
